Sarlahi , A warm clothing distribution event was held for 150 children at Shri National Basic School in Ishwarpur Municipality, Sarlahi. The program was organized under the initiative of Lions Club Kathmandu Darpan.
The chief guests at the event were Sunita Shrestha Acharya, President of Lions Club Kathmandu Darpan, and Manoj Kumar Acharya, the Mayor of Ishwarpur Municipality. Teachers, parents, and local representatives from the community were also present.
In her address during the inauguration, Sunita Shrestha Acharya, President of Lions Club Kathmandu Darpan, emphasized the club’s commitment to supporting vulnerable and needy individuals in society. She said, “Our club is always active in helping the underprivileged and those in need. Through this program, we have been able to provide warm clothing to the children of this school, which will help ensure their health and safety.”
Mayor Manoj Kumar Acharya also highlighted the significance of distributing warm clothing to children, particularly in the winter season when children often fall ill. He stated, “With the support of Lions Club, this initiative will contribute to improving the health of the school children. I welcome this effort and hope that such programs continue in the future.”
During the event, 150 children received warm clothes. Lions Club members and the school teachers personally distributed the clothes to each child.
The headmaster of the school expressed gratitude towards Lions Club Kathmandu Darpan for their assistance, saying, “Through such charitable initiatives, we can provide a better environment for our children to receive quality education and maintain good health. Today’s distribution will provide much-needed relief to the children during the cold weather.”
The event was filled with enthusiasm, with Lions Club members, local citizens, and students creating a vibrant atmosphere.
