Sarlahi – A total of 91 children from Shree Janata Primary School in Kalinjor, Ward 12 of Ishwarpur Municipality, were provided with warm clothing on Thursday. The initiative was led by Sunita Shrestha Acharya, President of the Lions Club Kathmandu Darpan, and social workers Sanjay Adhikari and Prakash Baral.
The distribution aimed to provide relief to the students against the harsh winter weather. Sunita Acharya, along with her team, made this possible for the children of the local school.
Speaking at the event, Sunita Acharya emphasized, “Today’s efforts are for the bright future of these children. I am grateful for the support of the teachers and students of the school.”
The school principal and teachers expressed their heartfelt thanks to Sunita Acharya, Sanjay Adhikari, and Prakash Baral for their generous contribution. The principal remarked, “This support is extremely important for the children. We are deeply thankful to the kind-hearted individuals who made this possible.”
The event was attended by the Mayor of Ishwarpur Municipality, Manoj Kumar Acharya, along with school teachers, students, parents, and prominent figures from the local community. The guests encouraged the children and reiterated their commitment to organizing more such charitable events in the future.
This initiative has also highlighted the need for warm clothing in other schools across Sarlahi district.
